General Information of Fujian Province

Fujian Geography
Located in southeast China, Fujian Province occupies an area of more than 120.000 square kilometres with a population of 34.71 million subdividing into the Han, the Miao, The Man, the Gaoshan and many other nationalities. Its provincial capital is Fuzhou.

Fujian Climate
Fujian has a subtropical humid, monsoon climate with the average annual rainfall of 1000mm- 1900mm. The frost-free period is as long as 8 to 11 months.

Fujian Local Products
It mainly products paddy rice, sugar cane, tobacco leaf, fibre crops, tea and such subtropical fruits as longan, banana, lychee and pineapple, which are famous fruit of Fujian province. The special local products including some famous tea of China like Wuyiyan, Tieguanyin, Wulong and Moli, narcissuses, longan, rattan work etc.

Fujian Tourist Attractions and Places of Interest
The major scenic spots are Mt. Wuyi, Mt. Qingyuan, Mt. Taimu, Chengtian Temple, Kaiyuan Temple.
